Five minutes oysters

We went "yard sale" twice last weekend. Last Friday we went to Twin Falls and Saturday we went to yard sales in our small mountain, Trout Capital of the Universe.

We share the trout each year, the fry AGM by a local scout group. My wife and I collect the cards and money at the door for othersdecided that the fried trout is better than cooking. Scouts earn trout, and we hand them the case.

This year I tried to buy some people to a flag, so I could give them the profits to go to scouts, but nobody thought of auctions, they came for the trout.

One thing I miss in Idaho is seafood. The closest you can come and seafood are a ® sizzler in Twin Falls. They can buy small salmon and shrimp skewers to go with him.In some ways, it is not the same as a good seafood restaurant in Cape May, New Jersey and Philadelphia. We did not even have a Red Lobster ®.

You can also buy fresh crab meat at the grocery store, in rare cases. If available, I get a couple packs and throw them in my freezer for later use. I'm addicted to the omelette with crab meat.

Last Saturday I was chatting with a lady who sells his house when he said: "Everything is half-off Saturday. I had a bottle of spices and thenIt took off again, because it is a dollar, the sale yard is against my religion, the cost of money for the seasoning.

When you said that half-off, I took the bottle and gave up four bits.

The spice is Beau Monde Seasoning by Spice Island ®. It says on the label that can be added to dishes such as oyster soup can taste, instead of increasing with the salt. I read the label and is fortified with sugar salt, dextrose, onion, celery seeds, and tricalcium phosphate.

However,oyster stew, the words put me in a trance.

My wife, who always knows what I believe, said: "You can have some oysters at the local market."

I immediately ran over there, do not expect fresh oysters, or find something that looked like fresh oysters, but could be a substitute.

Our store just recently canned oysters. The doses were the same size, about half the size of a can of corn, and the company was 10 cents cheaper than the other two brands.When reading labels, I decided that probably all from the same factory in Korea. I bought the red is possible, because I thought it was beautiful. Furthermore, the oysters have already been cooked.

Oysters were looking kind of slippery, and some had a greenish color, but the oysters were okay.

They were not quite as oysters in jars that you buy in Twin Falls is a large market.

Anyway, here's my recipe for OysterStew.

Five minutes oysters

Ingredients

1 can chicken broth

1 can cream (I had to use cream of mushroom, but when I got home from the store, I discovered that there are fresh out. I have the cream of broccoli soup with cheese. I thought it would be a strong sense of oysters, but I was wrong. Do not add water or milk with a can of soup.)

1 canned boiled oysters. When you buy fresh or others,Oysters, I suggest you fry in a skillet with butter and a clove of garlic first. It takes only a minute or so. (Do not buy oysters in the box, if you can get the original. Oysters canned good taste, but are a bit 'too slick for me, at least the ones I bought.)

1 can of mushrooms (fresh mushrooms is always better, but takes more work)

1 can sliced potatoes

To 1 can sliced carrots, the dish a nice color

Beau Monde seasoning or salt, sugar, onion andCelery seeds (remember tricalcium phosphate)

Procedures

Drain all the cans with the exception of the soup and chicken soup, of course.

Chuck Put the mixture into a saucepan and bring to boil. (Of course you can throw a clove of garlic if you like.)

Served

I discovered that there was no need for this age group of oyster stew. The flavor was there at the beginning.

My wife does not appreciate the stew of oysters, or anything that smacks

I ate everything in two matches.
