Hashbrowns Recipe – Homemade Hashbrowns how perfect every time with my foolproof recipe that your family is every time you used to love it!
I have to make hash browns for the family for years, and I must admit that my recipe was not always the best. I remember when I was making a child with my grandmother's homemade hash browns and they were so crisp and perfect every time, just like their baked potatoes. Also I remember trips to the local diner orBig Boy for breakfast and every time you lined these delicious roasted brown crispy hash browns that were so juicy and delicious inside. I'll show you how to make the perfect hash browns every time!
Before you start make sure that you have an adequate pan, which is either cast iron and well used or a modern large pot of pan with teflon coating. If you do not have a good hash browns that will never pan out quite right.
What you need for the recipeIngredients:
Over 8 medium to large russet potatoes
A good rub with about 1 / 8 "-1 / 4" holes
Salt and pepper to taste
Canola oil or Crisco shortening
1 cup diced onion (or red pepper), if you prefer
In a large bowl, crush the potatoes with a grater. I prefer it with the skins on (the vast amounts of iron for the body and is great), others in the family, as they are better peeled.
